The situation

Georgetown Church of the Nazarene already had a Squarespace site, and they wanted to give the congregation something to come back to every day. Building the devotional outside Squarespace made more sense for their situation and goals, as long as it fit with the site they already had.

What I built

The devotional runs on its own and connects to the main site with only small changes on the Squarespace side. The pastor writes each entry once, and it publishes in the same format every time: a scripture passage, a reflection, three application questions, a daily challenge, and a prayer. Past entries stay available in an archive, and members can ask to get the devotional by text.
